Our Mission:
To enhance the education of our
children by promoting the connection
between home, school, and the community.
Whether you are a parent, student, school staff member or community member, this PTO is yours. We all work together "to enhance the education of our children by promoting the connection between home, school and the community." You are invited to participate, as much as possible, in the variety of fund raising, programs, and special events that are held throughout the school year.

With your help, the PTO provided over $12,000 in programs and communication services and more than $7,000 in free books and educational materials earned through our Book Fairs during the 2009-2010 school year and distributed an additional $66,000 to the district schools on per capita basis to fund hundreds of educational 'extras' at the school level to be used during the 2010-2011 school year. So, join in the fun, and watch the amazing things we can do when we work together! For more information, please view our brochure in English or Spanish.

Take the Challenge

But I only went to Target to buy ONE thing!

Can’t believe how much you spent the last time you went to Target? Wouldn’t it ease your mind (at least a little) to know our schools were benefiting from your purchases? Target will donate 1% of your purchases at Target and Target.com to our schools when you use your REDcard. Please take a moment to log-on to target.com and register your card. Scroll down to the left side and click on “enroll” under “Take Charge of Education”. To find your school, type in Hawthorn under school name and 60061 for the zip code to get the list of schools. Select the school your child attends and click on “Designate this school”. For Townline, type in “Townline Elementary" under school name as it is not listed with the other Hawthorn schools. This is a great and easy way for you to help our schools just by doing your regular shopping!More»
